Annual Meter Reading

On the 31st March each year, the generation meter reading from your renewable generator is due.

This should be submitted by 8th April to allow your ROCs to be claimed from Ofgem.

How to identify the ROC meter:

The ROC meter was installed at the time of your solar panel installation (it is separate from your NIE meter). This meter normally only shows one reading - this is your generation reading.

How to read the ROC meter:

Take a note of the meter reading
Take a clear, time-stamped photograph of your meter reading
Make sure to include the decimal places in your meter submission
Upon submission, if your status is ‘in review’, we will review your reading before submitting to Ofgem and may need to contact you.

How to read the EXPORT meter.

You will have 2 meters located at your home.

One of these meters will be installed by NIE Networks and will state ‘Property of NIE’ on the front. This will be your Export Meter.
